We have an exciting opening for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in San Francisco, California! This vital role is at the heart of our warehouse operations, managing the critical processes of both incoming and outgoing goods. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will ensure that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your responsibilities will span from receiving and inspecting incoming merchandise to preparing and dispatching outgoing orders. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will be working with a variety of products and materials, requiring careful handling and documentation. This position involves regular physical activity, including the Loading and Unloading of trucks, operating material handling equipment, and frequent Lifting of packages. Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and all Safety protocols is mandatory to maintain a secure work environment. This is a key position within our logistics department, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. - Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Properly document all incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as required, following all Safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and mandated PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Assist with other warehouse duties and logistics tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software and scanning equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including substantial Lifting and moving of goods.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
