Are you an organized and efficient individual looking for an Order Picker position in San Antonio, Texas? Join our team and play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, ensuring the correct product and quantity are gathered. Your attention to detail is paramount as you prepare items for packing and shipping, contributing directly to our logistics operations. We prioritize a safe working environment; therefore, adherence to all safety standards and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform repetitive motions and frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds. You'll work within a designated area of the warehouse, efficiently navigating aisles to retrieve products. We are looking for dependable individuals who can work with speed and accuracy. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and the potential to grow within our company's supply chain division.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Verify product codes and quantities before placing items in staging areas.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as pallet jacks, where applicable.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Assist with packing and preparing orders for shipment when necessary.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Meet established picking performance metrics and targets.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
