We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our dynamic distribution center in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Operating various types of forklifts, you will load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and adherence to all operational procedures is mandatory. You will be provided with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your protection. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and the ability to perform tasks involving substantial Lifting. This position is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining a productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage locations within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage products securely.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety best practices.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Must wear provided PPE at all times in designated areas.
