We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Richmond, Virginia facility! This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our **Logistics** department, ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring packages are correctly labeled and dispatched. A meticulous approach and strong organizational skills are vital for success in this fast-paced environment. Upholding high standards of **Safety** and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations are top priorities. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled with appropriate shipping information.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Operate shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to **Safety** standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Adhere to all **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and **Safety** protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Logistics Coordinator, or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software, WMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced **Logistics** environment.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including occasional **Lifting** of up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to **Safety** and adherence to all **PPE** guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree is a plus.
