We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is essential to the efficiency of our **Logistics** network, ensuring that our inventory data is precise and reliable. You will oversee inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement strategies to maintain optimal stock levels. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and report on stock status.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize errors and loss.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with **Logistics**, receiving, and shipping departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Adhere strictly to all **Safety** policies and **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
- Assist in audits and other inventory-related projects.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capable of performing physical duties, including occasional **Lifting** of up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of **Logistics** operations and inventory best practices.
- Commitment to workplace **Safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications are a plus.
