We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers for our busy logistics facility in Portland, Oregon. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and then carefully packaging them for shipment. You’ll need to be efficient, precise, and committed to maintaining a high standard of quality. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees are required to follow strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to order specifications using scanners or pick sheets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently for safe transit.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for various items.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy by reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Manual dexterity for careful packing and handling of goods.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse workflows.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
