Become an Order Picker at our busy Kansas City, Missouri distribution center! We're looking for diligent individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse, locate items using a pick list or scanning device, and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our Logistics chain, ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks, following all safety procedures.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of warehouse inventory.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques for items of various weights and sizes.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse environments is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic Logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods, and perform frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
