Salary: Basic salary of £22,367.80, with potential earnings up to £27,983.80 including sleep-in shifts

Are you a committed and enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? LCS is on the lookout for passionate Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team! This full-time role involves 35 hours a week plus 2 sleep-ins, with opportunities for additional hours.
As part of our mission, we aim to create a positive and lasting impact on young people transitioning from care to independence. We provide not just accommodation, but also the support they need to thrive in their educational and personal journeys.
Your RoleIn this rewarding position, you will:
- Engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their individual flats or shared houses.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for the young people you support.
Your duties will include:
- Offering practical support and guidance aligned with individual care plans to help young people develop essential life skills and achieve educational success.
- Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
- Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, documenting their progress and submitting it to relevant instructors.
- Building community links, such as with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Flexibility in your availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
- A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Experience working with attachment and trauma (desirable).
- Experience with challenging behavior and/or mental health issues (desirable).
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
- A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
- Intermediate computer skills.
