Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Basic Salary: £24,000 FTE

Your Role and Responsibilities- Enhance wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience, and behaviour management at Lyttelton House School.
- Collaborate with the Education Team to support young people's personal and academic development by removing barriers to learning.
- Encourage positive learning behaviours among students.
- Lead classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
- Deliver engaging enrichment activities during 'Golden Time'.
- Provide in-class support for academic, pastoral, emotional, or behavioural needs.
- Address immediate concerns, clarifying and resolving situations effectively.
- Document and analyze information related to lessons and interventions.
- Assist in preparing information for meetings regarding pupils.
- Act as an advocate for the ethos of Lyttelton House School.
- Lead on Reading and Phonics, tracking progress made by students.
- Develop the Pupil Voice initiative, collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team on the Pupil Council.
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers, actively participating in transitions and consultations.
- A solid educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics, along with sound IT skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., HLTA).
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in specific areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga, etc.).
- Proficiency in behaviour management and related techniques.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, with costs covered by Polaris Community.
