Salary: £2,000 + Expenses

At Polaris Community, we are passionate about providing the best outcomes for every child in our care. As we expand our independent fostering services, we are on the lookout for dedicated Independent Form F Assessors to support our fostering teams across the UK.

If you are an empathetic and qualified social worker with a knack for producing high-quality analytical assessment reports, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

In collaboration with independent fostering agencies like Polaris Community, your mission will be to safeguard the futures of foster children. You will conduct assessments of prospective foster families, ensuring that children and young people are placed in safe and nurturing environments.

Your role will involve:

• Producing and presenting high-quality, evidence-based analytical fostering assessments.
• Applying your knowledge of child care legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and the Fostering and Adoption Act 2002.

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Be a qualified social worker.
• Have significant post-qualification experience in relevant foster parent assessment work.
• Be registered with your country's applicable social work council (e.g., SWE, SSSC).
• Hold or be willing to obtain professional indemnity insurance.
• Be prepared to attend a mandatory induction day and training sessions.
• Have unrestricted access to your own transport and be willing to travel.
• Pass statutory and company checks as part of the assessment process.
• Ideally, have completed and presented at least one Form F Assessment to Panel.
