We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Cincinnati, Ohio facility. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and plays a key part in our overall logistics chain. You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and unload materials, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent operational skills, and a keen understanding of warehouse Safety protocols. Maintaining a safe and productive environment is our top priority, and this role is central to that mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including operating guidelines for forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for movement.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Utilize required PPE at all times while operating machinery or in designated areas.
- Perform tasks involving manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. when not operating a forklift.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Ensure all movements and operations prioritize workplace Safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular Lifting. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to Safety and adherence to all regulations. Must have a good understanding of load capacities and safe operating procedures. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Willingness to work flexible hours and wear appropriate PPE.
