We are hiring a Warehouse Associate in Chicago, Illinois to support our busy operations. This role is essential for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible, hardworking, and committed to upholding our high standards for Safety and operational excellence. You will work as part of a team, contributing to the successful execution of our logistics strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in the warehouse and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained).
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks that involve regular Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to efficient logistics by completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Understand and implement warehouse Safety best practices.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Warehouse Associate or in a similar role is preferred. Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Strong work ethic and reliability. Commitment to Safety and proper Lifting techniques is crucial. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures. Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics principles is a plus. Willingness to learn and operate different types of warehouse equipment. Must adhere to all PPE requirements.
