We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our bustling logistics hub in San Francisco, California. This critical role ensures the efficient movement of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for meticulously handling incoming shipments, verifying contents, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. Accuracy, organization, and a keen eye for detail are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain's effectiveness and customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform consistent lifting and operate relevant equipment. Safety is paramount, and all employees must strictly adhere to company safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against documentation.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record inventory movements in the system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Load outgoing shipments onto transport vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as trained.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and proper PPE use.
