We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri! In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our distribution center. Your contributions are vital to maintaining operational flow, supporting inventory management, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This position is a key component of our overall Logistics strategy. Our company prioritizes a safe working environment above all else, mandating adherence to all Safety regulations and the consistent use of provided PPE . The job requires a high level of physical stamina, involving regular Lifting of heavy objects, bending, and operating various material handling machinery. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect materials for damage and ensure accurate counts.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly storing and tracking materials.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Participate in physical inventory counts.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Perform duties requiring frequent and significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a related warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or experience.
- Good understanding of warehouse Logistics and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and manual handling.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety .
- Willingness to comply with all company policies, including the use of PPE .
