Are you a skilled and certified Forklift Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in New York City, New York? We are seeking experienced operators to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure that goods are transported, stored, and retrieved accurately and without damage. This role is vital to our logistics operations, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will operate various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to follow strict operating procedures. This position involves working in a busy warehouse environment, often performing tasks that require significant Lifting and maneuvering of heavy items. We prioritize a secure and hazard-free workplace. All necessary PPE will be provided. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods, manage inventory placement, and assist with loading and unloading trucks. - Operating forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
- Moving and stacking materials within the warehouse.
- Performing pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records of material movements.
- Assisting with inventory counts and management.
- Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Ensuring the workspace is kept clean and organized.
