We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include accurately locating, picking, and staging items for shipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and efficient workflow within our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and order pickers, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity targets.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervision promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
