Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Minneapolis, Minnesota distribution center. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and errors. You will play a key part in optimizing our warehouse Logistics by ensuring accurate data and efficient stock rotation. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety. While not as physically demanding as some roles, the ability to perform moderate Lifting may be required on occasion, and adherence to all company Safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to maintaining efficient and accurate inventory management.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping in the inventory management system.
  • Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to forecast needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Support the overall Logistics and supply chain functions through accurate inventory data.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and the importance of PPE.
  • Knowledge of Logistics principles related to inventory.
