We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in Boise, Idaho. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and processing documentation. This role is crucial to our supply chain and ensuring that inventory is correctly managed from the moment it enters our facility. You will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, making attention to detail and procedural adherence paramount. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. This position requires adherence to all company safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will be expected to lift and move materials as needed. Understanding of basic logistics principles will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and product codes against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system.
- Notify appropriate personnel of any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required, following proper training and Safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the use of PPE.
