Are you a skilled operator looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this position, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This is a crucial role within our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are transported to and from various locations within the warehouse swiftly and securely. A strong understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management principles is beneficial. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment and working on the warehouse floor. This job involves significant material handling and requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting when not operating the forklift. Our commitment to Safety is unwavering, and all operators must strictly adhere to established safety guidelines and procedures. Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts is essential. We are looking for experienced, safety-conscious individuals who can contribute to our efficient workflow. This role demands precision, reliability, and a proactive approach to warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper handling and movement of goods.
- Follow all Safety procedures and regulations.
- Wear required PPE during operation and while on the floor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting when required.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
