We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily operations at our Atlanta, Georgia facility. This key role ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain principles. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse layouts, improving operational workflows, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot issues, make informed decisions, and foster a productive and safe work environment. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective warehouse management. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a proven ability to manage a team are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a growing logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Plan and coordinate shipment schedules, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse operating procedures.
- Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, security procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain the facility and equipment, arranging for necessary repairs and upkeep.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports on key performance indicators.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE and enforce safety standards among all staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Capability of Lifting up to 30 lbs as needed for operational oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
