We are searching for experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our team at our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment to designated areas.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Participate in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods to prevent damage and ensure Safety.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the overall logistics and warehouse operations, which may involve some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to Safety is paramount.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and occasional Lifting.
