Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent tracking, reconciliation, and process improvement. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turnover and aging.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, which may involve some Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
  • Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
