Our growing logistics hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, is looking for a reliable Material Handler. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, involving the movement, storage, and organization of materials. You will work with a variety of products and equipment to ensure smooth workflows from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse to designated locations.
- Organize and store inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
- Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Follow proper techniques for lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is essential.
- Certification on relevant material handling equipment is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and significant lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and following safety guidelines diligently.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
