Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Columbus, Ohio? We are seeking a certified and safety-conscious individual to join our busy warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth flow of our logistics operations, ensuring inventory is managed effectively and shipments are handled with care. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and stage inventory.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track material movement.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing the required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as organizing, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Participate in regular safety training and team meetings.
- Follow strict safety protocols for lifting and material handling.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficient logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
