We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our busy San Antonio, Texas warehouse! In this role, you will be instrumental in the movement of goods throughout our facility, ensuring materials are transported efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and from storage to staging areas for shipping. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing materials within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. This position requires consistent physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of heavy items (up to 60 lbs) and sustained operation of heavy machinery. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Organize and stack materials in storage areas according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Experience with heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE correctly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
