We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient flow of goods, and contributing to the overall success of our warehouse operations. Your attention to detail will be paramount as you perform regular stock checks, reconcile discrepancies, and assist in cycle counting procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with other warehouse personnel, including receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams, to ensure seamless operations. Your daily tasks will involve using our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. We are looking for someone who can identify potential issues and suggest solutions to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Adherence to all company safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role may involve some Lifting of boxes or smaller items, typically up to 25 lbs. Join our dedicated team and play a vital part in our supply chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Update inventory levels in the WMS.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Support cycle counting initiatives.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize inventory flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehousing preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with WMS software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
