We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this critical role, you will manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking received goods, and preparing outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders. You will operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintain a meticulous record of all inventory movements. Safety is paramount in our facility; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE (e.g., safety shoes, gloves, vests) is essential. This position requires the ability to perform significant lifting and to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are necessary to succeed. We are seeking individuals committed to excellence in warehouse management and logistics. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying contents and quantities.
- Stock received materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipping and receiving schedules.
- Contribute to the efficiency of overall logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
