We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. This role requires precision, vigilance, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, etc.) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Safely transport products from receiving to storage and from storage to shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety and operational issues, reporting any defects immediately.
- Load and unload trailers and containers, ensuring product is secure and undamaged.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment according to order tickets and shipping schedules.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by ensuring all movements are logged correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and accident prevention.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of proper PPE.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists, shipping documents, and safety instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
