We are hiring for a Picker/Packer position within our busy warehouse located in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their correct orders accurately and promptly. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged correctly to prevent damage during transit. Your efficiency and attention to detail are vital for the success of our logistics operations. We operate in a fast-paced environment and are looking for motivated individuals who can work well both independently and as part of a team. This role involves physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing. A strong commitment to Safety is essential; you must consistently use the required PPE and adhere to all safety protocols. Prior experience in a picking or packing role is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders or pick lists.
- Inspect items for any defects or damage before packing.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Stage prepared orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks for moving items.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily fulfillment targets.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
