We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring smooth operations and efficient order fulfillment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, stock adjustments, and discrepancy investigations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and other departments to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist in the training of new inventory control personnel.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics setting. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and WMS software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform accurate data entry and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform tasks requiring occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment is essential. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and understanding the demands of logistics operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
