We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing picking equipment and systems to fulfill customer orders. Strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, and all employees are required to adhere to our strict safety guidelines. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Successful candidates will be comfortable with manual tasks and possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to assigned pick lists or using RF scanning equipment.
- Stage completed orders for quality control and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all products are stored correctly.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is desirable.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
