We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with stock management to ensure efficient warehouse operations. This role is crucial for tracking the movement of goods, preventing stock discrepancies, and supporting overall logistics efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding warehouse safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory, ensuring proper documentation.
- Organize and maintain warehouse stock and storage areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handle lifting of items up to 50 lbs as required.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse environment through diligent work practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety and following established procedures.
