We are looking for an organized and diligent Receiving Clerk to join our growing logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming freight. Your duties will include inspecting deliveries, verifying shipments against orders, documenting receipt of goods, and properly storing inventory. This position is critical to maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
- Stage and organize received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving dock and work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including those regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transportation partners to resolve receiving issues.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or similar capacity is beneficial.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to handle moderate physical activity, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
