We're hiring an Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your keen attention to detail will ensure that the correct products and quantities are selected, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and possesses the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be using order sheets and potentially RF scanning devices to locate and pick items. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift and will need to perform frequent lifting. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety; therefore, you must strictly adhere to all company safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Utilize order sheets or RF scanners to identify and locate products.
- Retrieve the correct quantity of each item.
- Stage picked items for quality control and packing.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
- Practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as stocking or replenishing inventory as needed.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity and accuracy goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capability to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and labels.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and willingness to follow them.
- Team player with positive attitude.
