Orlando, Florida: We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management processes, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock data. Your efforts are vital to our logistics operations, enabling efficient order fulfillment and minimizing stock-related errors. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to uphold high standards of inventory accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Monitor stock rotation and expiration dates, as applicable.
- Ensure all inventory is stored correctly, safely, and efficiently.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Report on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and potential issues to management.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and WMS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and operational flow.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all PPE guidelines.
