Salary: Up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract Term: 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover

The Role

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to making a difference. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with foster parents to ensure meaningful supervision of placements.
  • Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for foster parents.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents while promoting the welfare of children.

To thrive in this demanding position, you should be an excellent report writer, able to meet strict deadlines, and possess a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own vehicle.

Requirements
  • Hold a Social Work England qualification in Social Work or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within fostering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality practice, including occasional work after 5 PM and on weekends.
  • Willingness to be part of an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Your Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals.
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Orange Grove Fostercare).
