Residential Childcare Support Worker

Salary:

Unqualified: Base salary of £29,112.72 to £30,008.16 upon successful completion of the probation period.

Qualified: Base salary of £30,641.52 (for those with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).

Specific Hours: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Location: Greater London (Covering Camden, Haringey & Islington)

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, helping them navigate challenges and reach their full potential. You’ll be a vital link between our community and the young individuals we serve, promoting social inclusion and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate with your team to create a safe and nurturing environment for young people.
• Provide emotional and social support, helping them build meaningful relationships.
• Encourage self-esteem and respect, empowering young people to make positive life choices.
• Maintain accurate records of daily progress and observations.
• Assess and address the needs of each child, working closely with your manager and other professionals.
• Support daily living needs in line with individual care plans.
• Engage in domestic duties, involving young people in meal planning and preparation.

• Ability to engage positively with young people.
• Self-motivated with a positive outlook.
• Sensitive and reflective, with strong listening skills.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Experience in the care sector or residential care is a plus.
• Willingness to pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Flexibility to work some Bank Holidays.
