Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Welcome to Sutherland Hall School, where we create a nurturing environment for pupils aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. Located in the heart of Tamworth, our school is designed to support up to 78 pupils, ensuring that every child feels valued, respected, and empowered.

As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Supporting the class team in creating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
• Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
• Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to foster interaction and enhance learning outcomes.

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Possess a strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
• Have previous successful teaching experience.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
