*Insight into the role:*
_This is an exciting opportunity to join the DAS Team in our school-based work as a __*Speech Language Pathologist*__. We are looking for qualified team members who can contribute to our goal of supporting students and families in achieving the most optimal outcomes._
_*You’ll be serving at multiple charter schools in the Dallas County *_
_One of the best parts of working at DAS is our flexible scheduling! We have opportunities for both full and part time SLP’s and have the summers off, working only 190 days a year with the school calendar. We know that SLP’s in general have given their all and more, especially in the last few years. Come join a team that understands that the best way for us to take care of our students is to first take care of ourselves. We provide healthy and balanced workloads and a team that supports you every step of the way._
*The awesome work you will do:*
_· Manage a caseload of students and provide speech services on a regular and consistent basis. Assist with addressing the compensatory backlog of services._
_· Provide consultation with teachers and parents as needed_
_· Complete speech evaluations and make IEP recommendations for speech services_
_· Attend ARD meetings_
_· Maintain organized records of services provided_
_· Provide progress reports for each student per grading period_
_· Supervise one-two SLPA’s (not required)_
*We would love if you have:*
_· Must possess a master’s degree (MA or M.S.) from an accredited institution_
_· Must possess be SLP licensure_
_· 2-3 years of experience in a school setting a plus, but not required_
_· Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, education of special education students, human development_
_· Excellent organization and planning skills_
_· Demonstrated passion for students, especially those with disabilities_
_· Effective interpersonal skills_
_· Must possess a valid Driver’s License_
*Compensation:*
_*· Hourly pay between $50-$55/hour based on experience, plus a supervisor stipend of $350/month per assistant SLP that you support.*_
