Performs x-rays and bone density scans for diagnostic purposes. Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
*Essential Duties/Responsibilities:*
· Preparing patients for radiologic procedures; providing verbal and/or written instructions and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed; observing patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.
· Operating radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes; positioning equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination; taking x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
· Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
· Ensuring radiologic equipment remains in working order.
· Retrieving radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record.
· Maintaining adequate radiologic supplies.
· Performing administrative tasks as needed.
*Required Skills/Abilities:*
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; English grammar and usage.
· Ability to read and interpret medical procedures and terminology.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
*Education and Experience:*
· Associate degree in Radiography
*Licensure/Certifications:*
· Must hold and maintain ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
