Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is on the lookout for a seasoned Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to enhance our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work closely with customers to grasp their technical requirements and business objectives, while designing and implementing customized cloud solutions that drive meaningful results. As a key contributor during the sales process, you will offer invaluable technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey. Your main responsibility will be to create and lead solution designs that effectively address customer business outcomes (CBOs). By serving as a vital link between ProServe Account Executives and our Delivery Teams, you will ensure that the proposed solutions are feasible, impactful, and leverage ProServe or our partners to maximize CBOs. In the capacity of a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic insights on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges. As a technical subject matter expert, you will share your knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and the creation of reusable artifacts and process improvements. Your extensive experience in designing technical solutions within the technology or consulting sector will empower you to architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer, translating technical concepts into tangible business value. Your success in this role will be closely linked to the signing of Statements of Work (SOWs) and the effective implementation of solutions that not only achieve CBOs but also exceed customer satisfaction (CSAT) expectations. The AWS Professional Services organization comprises a global team of experts dedicated to assisting customers in achieving their desired business outcomes through the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to drive enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team offers a variety of services to help customers realize specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. Key Responsibilities: Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions, estimates, and proposals to fulfill customer business outcomes (CBOs). Provide technical guidance and best practices during the sales process and implementation phases. Collaborate with Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure that solutions are realistic and achievable. Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies. Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA). Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies. 7+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: A degree in advanced technology or an AWS Professional-level certification. Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape. Familiarity with AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies. Awareness of security and compliance standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR. Experience implementing AWS services in various distributed computing environments. A history of managing executive customer relationships and interacting with key business stakeholders. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and understanding the connections between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets. Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments. Your package will include sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
