Your team
The Sports Super Tribe is comprised of 5 self-sufficient tribes, encompassing over 60 squads of Engineers, QA, and associated roles across Porto, Dublin and Leeds. Together, we are dedicated to delivering fast, distinctive, dynamic, and trusted sports betting experiences, each tribe driven by a clear vision to develop best-in-class customer experiences.

What you’ll do

Our Developers know their stuff – they're busy working independently and setting high standards.

As a back-end Software Engineer, you’re part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets. From developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to supporting the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions, developing unit, component, and integrated tests with the guidance of the team\'s QA - you can expect to execute the full software development lifecycle. Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code to solve business needs and deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform, as well as testing and documenting the implemented solutions will be a big part of your day-to-day.

How you’ll do it

  • Experienced working with a high concurrency/high transactional/highly available platform.
  • Expertise using established design patterns and encouraging appropriate use of reusability techniques (e.g. library extraction, new component creation).
  • Experience developing in C# is key, but knowledge of Javascript, Python, and MySql is advantageous.
  • Contribute towards squad code reviews, in areas relevant to your experience, providing feedback and suggestions for any improvements required.
  • Test framework maintenance and contribution towards automated test stability is important, escalating to management where work is required to maintain an acceptable standard of quality for the squad(s).
  • Proficiency in support / helpdesk tickets and supporting operational requirements, upskilling other engineers as required.
  • Knowledge of Soccer and the systems used in pricing and trading.
  • Experience of CI/CD Tools, build pipelines and automated production deployment systems.
  • Practical experience of AWS.
  • Participate in system design and architecture for new services.
  • Passionate about learning and improvement in both services you own as well as the ways your day to day work evolves.
  • Willingness to ask questions, learn and evolve the platforms as part of a team.

As a Software Engineer, it\'s not just about the technical knowledge. We value a strong set of soft skills – being a team player and promoting a healthy environment within your team is just as important. This means that we\'ll be expecting a strong set of soft skills as well - excellent communication, common sense, and a passion for the art of problem-solving.

Tech Stack

  • Our product\'s backend runs in C#, so a proven track record working with this technology would be ideal - but if you have extensive experience with similar OOP languages, the underlying concepts are similar.
  • Our teams also work with technologies such as AWS, ArgoCD, Javascript, React, Python, AWS DB solutions, Kafka, Akka, Confluent Cloud, GitHub, Splunk, SignalFx, Grafana, and others.

What’s on offer

  • £/€1,000 learning fund
  • Twice-yearly bonus (with part of it guaranteed!)
  • Unlimited Holiday
  • Pension contribution scheme
  • Private healthcare
  • Hybrid Working
  • Access to thousands of Udemy courses
  • Invest via the Company Sharesave Scheme
