Job Purpose

The FM Multi-Skilled Gas Engineer will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial gas, plumbing, and heating systems across a range of client sites throughout Northern Ireland. The role requires a proactive and flexible approach to ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
  
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with contract schedules.
  
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and effectively.
  
• Undertake plumbing and heating installations and upgrades where required.
  
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current Gas Safe regulations and relevant health & safety legislation.
  
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation and certification.
  
• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and respond to emergency callouts.
  
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
  
• Liaise professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service.
  
• Work independently and as part of a wider Facilities Management team.
  
• Identify and report additional works or potential business opportunities.
  

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working on commercial gas systems.
  
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices.
  
• IT literacy for job reporting and certification systems.
  

Qualifications & Certifications (Essential)

• 
  
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating.
  
• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (current and in-date).
  
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Experience

• Experience within a Facilities Management or similar environment.
  
• Experience of planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
