JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a hands-on Manager of Organic Search & AI Optimization to own our growth strategy across traditional search and emerging AI platform visibility. This individual contributor role leads SEO, AEO, and GEO for our specialty insurance products-home, renters, auto, recreational marine (boats and yachts), and collectibles (art, wine, jewelry, watches)-and manages agency partners to execute that strategy. The ideal candidate blends deep technical SEO expertise with a forward-looking approach to AI-powered search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and more).
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Roadmap Develop and execute a comprehensive organic search strategy across SEO, AEO, and GEO for all product lines. Build a multi-year roadmap aligned to business objectives, seasonal demand cycles, and the evolving AI search landscape. Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for organic traffic, quote requests, brand visibility, and AI platform presence. Technical SEO
Lead technical audits and resolve crawlability, indexability, and site architecture issues across our multi-product platform. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure schema markup, structured data, and Core Web Vitals improvements to enhance SERP features and AI citations. Monitor and adapt to algorithm updates from Google, Bing, and AI platforms affecting insurance and financial services. AI Platform Optimization (AEO/GEO)
Lead growth and visibility strategies for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini, and other LLM-powered search experiences. Optimize content structure, citations, and authoritative signals for AI retrieval systems. Monitor brand mentions and expertise recognition across AI platforms and beyond Partner with social media and Content teams to grow PRS visibility through trusted relationships Content Strategy
Partner with content creators to develop SEO/AEO-informed strategies targeting all core product segments Conduct keyword research and search intent mapping for high-value home, luxury auto, marine, and collectibles verticals. Optimize content for featured snippets, People Also Ask, and AI answer boxes relevant to specialty insurance. Agency & Vendor Management
Own relationships with SEO/AEO agencies-manage performance, lead analytics, and share monthly progress with internal teams Serve as primary liaison between agencies and internal teams (content, web dev, product, legal/compliance). Evaluate agency deliverables against strategic goals and insurance industry compliance requirements. Analytics & Reporting
Collaborate with agency to build dashboards tracking organic traffic, keyword rankings, quote requests, and AI platform visibility by product line. Present quarterly business reviews to senior leadership connecting organic search to quote volume and premium growth. Establish attribution models linking organic touchpoints to quote completion, policy binding, and customer lifetime value. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with paid search, social, and brand teams on integrated search strategies across all verticals. Work with legal/compliance to ensure all tactics meet insurance regulatory and advertising requirements. Collaborate with web development and product teams on technical implementations and new coverage launches. QUALIFICATIONS
Required
7+ years of SEO experience, with at least 3 years managing teams or agencies. Proven track record driving organic traffic and lead generation in competitive or regulated industries. Deep expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building with measurable results. Strong knowledge of Google Search algorithms, ranking factors, and Core Web Vitals. Experience with enterprise SEO platforms (Conductor, BrightEdge, seoClarity, or Semrush Enterprise). Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and data visualization tools. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO performance. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred
Experience in insurance, Insurtech, or financial services. Demonstrated AEO/GEO expertise with case studies optimizing for AI platforms. Familiarity with property & casualty insurance or luxury/high-value asset protection. Experience with enterprise CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress VIP, Sitecore). Understanding NLP, semantic search, and how LLMs retrieve insurance information. Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) for quote flows and lead generation. Experience presenting to C-suite executives and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Key Success Metrics
Year-over-year growth in organic traffic and qualified quote requests across all product verticals. Improved keyword rankings for priority specialty insurance terms (high-value home, luxury auto, marine, collectibles). Increased visibility in featured snippets, AI Overviews, and AI platform citations. Growth in organic-attributed premium volume and agency budget efficiency. Improved Core Web Vitals scores and quote form conversion rates.
The pay range for the role is $149,800 to $160,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
