Limerick On behalf of a leading manufacturing and engineering organisation in Co.
Limerick, we are seeking a results-driven Process Improvement Engineer.
This role is central to driving operational excellence, focusing on the elimination of waste, the optimisation of production workflows, and the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles across the site.
This is an ideal opportunity for an analytical engineer with a "continuous improvement" mindset to take ownership of high-impact projects in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Core Responsibilities Process Analysis: Utilise Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production and assembly lines.
Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional CI projects from inception to completion, focusing on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reducing scrap/rework.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct deep-dive investigations into process deviations and quality issues, implementing robust CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions).
Data-Driven Solutions: Collect and analyse production data to provide actionable insights for senior management regarding capacity and cost-saving opportunities.
Standardisation: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training to production staff on new, optimised workflows.
Change Management: Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the factory floor, engaging with operatives and supervisors to embed Lean thinking.
Candidate Profile Education: Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Level 8 preferred).
Experience: 15 years of experience in a Process Engineering or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab) and CAD software for layout optimisations.
Aptitude: A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Compensation Salary Range: €40,000 €60,000 per annum (Negotiable based on depth of CI experience and Lean certifications). xcfaprz
