02/28/2026 Description: Remote Position We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager II to lead cross-functional initiatives that leverage your expertise in SAP IS-U and the utility sector. In this role, you will focus on project governance, vendor coordination, and change management to enhance our customer care, operations, and training teams. Your work will span agile, waterfall, and hybrid project models in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. $50.00 to $55.00/hr. W2 Responsibilities: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional projects using agile and waterfall methodologies.
Develop and manage project charters, timelines, resource plans, and risk registers.
Coordinate effectively with internal technology teams, business owners, and third-party vendors to achieve project objectives.
Provide status updates, identify issues, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
Evaluate the impacts of technology changes on stakeholders and customer-facing operations.
Design and implement change management plans addressing engagement, communications, training, and readiness.
Work closely with customer care, operations, and training teams to ensure seamless transitions.
Identify resistance and apply strategies to enhance adoption of new processes.
Act as an intermediary among product owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders.
Recognize dependencies and align efforts with the broader technology roadmap.
Experience Requirements: At least 5 years of project management experience.
Proven knowledge of SAP IS-U with hands-on project management in the utility sector.
Experience managing complex business or technology projects in utility, energy, or regulated environments.
Demonstrated expertise in change management including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and training coordination.
Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate through ambiguity.
Experience working in a matrixed environment with varying levels of PMO involvement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating technical and business concepts for diverse audiences.
Knowledge of qTest, Jira, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred.
Prior experience in regulated utilities or customer-facing technology projects is advantageous.
Understanding of capital project budgeting and financial governance practices is a plus.
Working knowledge of scheduling and cost controls strongly preferred.
Familiarity with construction management is beneficial.
Education Requirements: Graduation from a two-year college or university is required.
A four-year college or university degree is preferred.
PMI PMP or CAPM certification is preferred.
Prosci certification or equivalent is preferred.
CMII certificates are preferred.
Professional Engineer license is preferred.
