About the opportunity

Due to exciting and continued growth, our Risk Consulting Department are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior IT Auditor to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and undertaking audits across IT General Controls (ITGC) and Cybersecurity Controls. The position will be based in the Dublin office and is a permanent full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.

The role will see you undertake audits and support junior auditors while collaborating directly with our client stakeholders to strengthen their IT control environment and IT risk management framework. You will play a key role in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls across our client stakeholders’ infrastructure, applications, cloud environments and cybersecurity domains.

Key duties include applying strong internal audit, analytical and risk assessment skills to evaluate complex IT environments, identify control weaknesses, and produce clear, actionable audit reports that influence strategic and operational decisions. The role includes planning and executing risk-based audit programmes, assessing IT governance frameworks, evaluating cybersecurity maturity, and recommending improvements aligned with recognised standards such as ISO, NIS2 and COBIT.

As a Senior IT Auditor, you can expect your duties to include;

IT Audit Delivery and Engagement Support
  • Working directly with a Senior Manager and Partner on the delivery of IT audit and advisory engagements, gaining direct involvement in client delivery and exposure to senior leadership within the firm.
  • Demonstrating strong personal organisation, accountability, and motivation in managing assigned audit work and deadlines.
  • Executing IT audit procedures in accordance with agreed methodologies, professional standards, and engagement plans.
  • Acting as a key contact for clients during audit fieldwork, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout engagements.
  • Completing assigned audit procedures and work programmes within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Preparing clear, well-structured audit documentation and workpapers that support findings and conclusions.
  • Identifying risks, control deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in client IT environments.
  • Supporting the preparation of audit reports, findings, and recommendations for review by Partner.
  • Contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies and capabilities:

  • Experience performing IT General Controls (ITGC) testing across areas such as access management, change management, and IT operations.
  • Experience performing cyber security baseline standards reviews / gap analysis.
  • Ability to analyse system configurations, data flows, and IT environments to identify risks and control weaknesses.
  • Understanding of key IT risk and control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIS2, or similar industry standards.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with client stakeholders during audit engagements.
  • Supporting Senior Managers and Partners in identifying opportunities to expand IT risk, cybersecurity, and advisory services. xcfaprz
  • Staying up to date with developments in IT risk, cybersecurity, regulatory expectations, and audit methodologies.
Technical Requirement
  • Qualified IT Auditor with suitable professional qualification (CISA / CISM / CISSP or equivalent)
  • Honours Third Level graduate of Information Security, Information Systems or related field
  • Strong IT Audit and IT Risk Management experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
