Network Engineer
to support enterprise network infrastructure modernization initiatives. In this role, you will help administer, maintain, and enhance a large-scale wired and wireless network environment while supporting critical infrastructure upgrades across multiple facilities nationwide.
This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoysbuilding, upgrading, and optimizing enterprise networks and is comfortable traveling to support network lifecycle management projects. You will play a key role in preparing network equipment, deploying upgrades, and ensuring reliable connectivity across enterprise environments.

Administer, operate, and maintain enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure. Support infrastructure modernization efforts including switch lifecycle upgrades and replacements across multiple facilities. Configure and stage Cisco switches prior to shipment and perform on-site installation and upgrades. Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to optimize system operations and resource utilization. Perform capacity analysis and network planning to support future growth and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across Layer 1-Layer 7 environments. Collaborate with project coordinators and managers to provide status updates, technical reporting, and deployment progress. Conduct network engineering research and support design development aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and follow established change control procedures. Travel up to 50-75% across the United States to support site upgrades and deployments. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience and 5+ years of Cisco network engineering experience in large enterprise campus environments. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches. Strong experience with Layer 3 networking and routing protocols, including: o OSPF
o BGP (multi-homing, traffic engineering, load balancing, failover)
o EIGRP
o RIP
o HSRP
o WCCP
Experience supporting multicast networking. Strong troubleshooting expertise across: o Layer 1: copper cabling, fiber signal strength
o Layer 2: VLANs, spanning tree, MAC address tracing
o Layer 3: routing issues, EGP vs IGP redistribution, BGP attributes, prefix analysis
o Layers 4-7: application and network services troubleshooting
Experience working with incident tracking and ticketing systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and customer environments simultaneously. Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and commitment to best practices. Preferred Qualifications
CCNP certification or equivalent advanced Cisco certification. Experience supporting large enterprise environments (35,000+ users). Experience deploying infrastructure across multiple geographic locations. Familiarity with ServiceNow or other enterprise helpdesk platforms. Experience using Microsoft Project and Visio for documentation and planning. Experience collaborating with distributed technical teams across onsite and remote environments. Compensation: $90K to $102K
