Job Overview:
We are seeking a technical data analyst who can translate business reporting needs into structured data mappings across ERP and operational systems so accurate datasets can be built for Power BI reporting. This is not a Power BI developer and not a pure data engineer. This role is: A data translator between business operations and the Power BI/data engineering team, responsible for mapping data across systems so accurate datasets can be built for enterprise reporting. They will:
Work with business leaders to understand new reporting needs Identify where data lives across systems Map data logic across multiple platforms Help the developer System Environment
Major systems include:
NetSuite (ERP) Dayforce (HRMS) ES400 RailCarRX ExpressYard Incident Management system SharePoint data Survey application Microsoft Fabric data warehouse
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Meet with business leaders requesting reports Understand what data they are asking for Identify where the data exists across systems Map how that data should connect Document the logic Work with the developer to build the dataset Required Skills & Experience:
A technically capable data analyst who understands SQL and system data structures but is strong enough with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into data mapping logic for the Power BI developer. Strong SQL understanding Experience mapping data across systems Experience with ERP / operational systems data Ability to gather reporting requirements from business users Strong documentation habits Comfort working in mixed system environments Big Bonus Points if you Have:
Power BI familiarity ETL understanding Microsoft Fabric exposure ERP data structures (NetSuite ideal) HR / payroll systems Operational / field service systems Legacy system integrations Data warehouse environments ETL concepts Data governance / documentation Job Requisition # 40127 #LI-KL1 A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $95,000 - $130,000 per year.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
