Senior Network Systems Administrator
to join our team on a DISA contract. This position requires 100% on-site support at
Fort Meade, MD
and involves working with systems that support the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently configure network assets including switches, load balancers, routers, and firewalls. Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and apply security measures to Cisco, Juniper, and Dell network assets. Create and maintain accurate system documentation, configuration management, and timely change management efforts. Complete checklists and manage devices to enforce cyber security controls as necessary. Support the implementation of global projects for network architecture upgrades by providing technical insights, estimated actions, timelines, and resource availability. Implement recurring security requirements on network devices. Collaborate with external partners to coordinate troubleshooting efforts when needed. Utilize sufficient System Administration skills in Linux and Windows environments to manage network assets effectively. Offer architectural and topology recommendations to enhance operational efficiencies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret with SCI. At least 3 years of familiarity with Linux and/or Windows environments. Possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, such as Security+ce or higher. Currently hold CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience integrating Network Management and Element Management systems for network performance and security subsystems. Experience with ticketing systems like BM, ServiceNow, ITSM, or Remedy. ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred. Experience in working with virtual environments.
